Iestyn has many years experience in private practice and has a broad range of expertise covering most major sectors of town planning. Prior to working for Bell Cornwell LLP, Iestyn worked as a senior associate with a major property advisory firm which enabled him to gain wider experience of property development and surveying matters.

Iestyn has particular expertise relating to residential development, including affordable housing, as well as complex mixed use and historic buildings schemes. Other areas of specialisation include hotels and casinos, EIA and telecommunications development.

Iestyn has acted for a wide range of clients, primarily within the private sector, including large house builders, investors and major hotel operators but he has also acted for public sector organisations such as NHS Trusts, registered social landlords and bodies such as Transport for London.

In addition to providing advice on planning applications, appraisals, appeals and legal agreements, Iestyn also has considerable experience of acting as an expert witness, having appeared at a number of major planning and land compensation inquiries.
