Jane is an experienced chartered town planner with a wealth of planning experience spanning strategic planning and development management and covering major and minor planning applications, site appraisals, housing land supply analysis, major planning inquiries and hearings, local plan preparation and conservation area appraisals. She was elected to membership of the RTPI in 1986, has an Honours Degree in Town & Country Planning from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne University and a Diploma in Management (with Distinction) from Reading University.

Jane joined Bell Cornwell in April 2008 having previously worked for County, City and District local planning authorities. Before joining Bell Cornwell she worked at Head of Service level for a local authority. Her client base includes home–builders, property developers, major land owners, local authorities and private individuals.

Projects range from initial site appraisals, site promotion through Local Development Framework, planning applications and planning appeal stages. She also prepares application for LDCs. Furthermore, she has experience in working with community groups in the planning of local issues.

Geographically, Jane’s projects range across Southern England, from Devon to London and the South East..
