Sarah joined Bell Cornwell in August 2017. Sarah has a wide range of experience in both development management and planning policy. She has the most experience in strategic planning and site promotion, as well as preparing applications for residential development on complex sites.
She particularly appreciates planning for historic buildings and the detail that is involved in preparing an application that assesses the setting and fabric of the building. Sarah enjoys solving problems associated with complicated sites with several constraints.
For the first 7 years of her career, Sarah worked for Hertsmere and Dacorum Borough Councils. There she gained invaluable experience in both development management and policy teams. In 2014 Sarah moved to a surveying firm to be an in-house town planner. In this role she advised farmers and landowners on the nitty gritty of rural planning, preparing and project managing planning applications. Sarah has also been involved in site promotion and strategic planning through Local Plans and Neighbourhood Plans.
Sarah has a Geography BA (Hons) degree from the University of Birmingham, and a Master’s degree in Planning and Sustainability from Kingston University. She also became a chartered Town Planner in March 2012.Back to our team
