Permission granted for 14 apartments and a 4-bedroom house in Ascot

2nd July 2015

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has approved a full planning application for the demolition of two large family houses and their replacement with a 3-storey building comprising: 10 x 3-bedroom and 2 x 2-bedroom apartments, plus a 4-bedroom house intended for occupation by the existing householder.

The site lies within an area that is identified as ‘Villas in a Woodland Setting’ in the adopted Neighbourhood Plan, but it was accepted by Ascot Parish Council and RBWM officers that the detailed design and layout of the proposed building, incorporating 2 levels of basement car parking and informal landscaped grounds, satisfied the relevant Neighbourhood Plan policy criteria.
