Residential Development and Public Open Space at Hook, Hampshire

16th March 2015

Outline consent has been achieved for Banner Homes Southern Ltd and Gleeson Strategic Land for 70 dwellings and public open space.  Locally very controversial, a comprehensive outline scheme was negotiated for this departure application with the LPA and parish council during 2014. Issues including SANG provision, ecological buffers, highway capacity, optimum position of the access point, sewage capacity and PADI requirements were all resolved.

The public open space is to be transferred to the Parish Council for use as informal playing fields. The development will provide a full range of dwelling types and sizes including a total of 18 affordable homes. The Reserved Matters application is now being prepared. The Project Team included TSH Architects, Floyd Matcham Landscape Consultants and Odyssey Markides Consulting Engineers.
