Geoff Megarity joined Bell Cornwell’s team in 2018 and is a Principal Planner based in our London office. Geoff acts as the main point of contact for his clients and assists them in navigating the often-complex planning process.
Prior to joining Bell Cornwell, Geoff worked in a variety of planning roles, starting out in Local Planning Authorities; the London Borough of Newham and Ealing. In 2014 Geoff moved to residential property developer St George and then as a consultant for a large multi-disciplinary firm within their commercial team.
Geoff works closely with a range of clients, progressing planning applications and appeals on their behalf as well as advising on the development potential of land and promoting sites through the Local Plan making process. He specialises in commercial-led, mixed-use and residential developments, with a focus on development management. Working across Greater London and the South-East, his repertoire ranges from advising clients on the best planning strategy to achieve their objectives to the preparation of complex planning applications.
Geoff gained a BA (Hons) degree in Town Planning at Newcastle University between 2009 and 2012. His degree involved the study of the academic side of planning, including its history in the UK, planning across Europe, planning theory and planning law.
