On a day-to-day basis, Jonathan advises clients on the planning system and assists them in preparing planning applications, planning appeals, Certificates of Lawfulness, prior approvals and other types of applications. He also undertakes planning appraisals to help identify the potential of a site and liaise with local planning authorities and other specialist consultants to help deliver planning consents.
Jonathan predominantly deals with residential developments of varying sizes, as well as some commercial developments. His main focus is on sites within the Home Counties, particularly around Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire and also the Chilterns.
Jonathan attended Oxford Brookes University, where he studied and gained an upper first-class degree in Town and County Planning (with Honours) and a post-graduate Diploma in Town and Country Planning.
Prior to joining Bell Cornwell in 2008, Jonathan previously worked other private planning consultancies. He has also worked for the Ministry of Defence before becoming a Town Planner. He is also a member of the RTPI.
