Bell Cornwell have assisted NYMS Services Limited in securing full planning permission for a new care home facility in Dartmoor. The development will see the change of use and renovation of the former Moorland Garden Hotel into a 50+ bedroom care home, which includes a number of new extensions to the building.
We worked closely with our client and the project team to ensure that the proposals were sensitive and in keeping with the character of the area, especially given its proximity to Dartmoor National Park. We were also able to address and resolve initial concerns raised by the officers in relation to sustainable travel measures.
As a result, the planning application was approved without any pre-commencement conditions.
