Applications Bell Cornwell is pleased to share the successful outcome of a planning application in Paignton on behalf of MDP Development South West Ltd, securing unanimous approval from Torbay Council’s planning committee for the redevelopment of a previously developed site.
The proposal will see an existing dwelling and outbuildings demolished and replaced with 10 high-quality new homes—a mix of six townhouses and four coach houses—bringing much-needed housing to the area.
A Design-Led Approach Adjacent to a Conservation Area
Working closely with Lebrasse Architecture & Planning, led by Nicholas Lebrasse, the project team developed a scheme that responds sensitively to the site’s position next to a conservation area. Heritage considerations were central to the design process, ensuring that the new homes preserve and enhance the character and appearance of the surrounding historic environment while delivering contemporary, attractive living spaces.
